La Galería Neilson en colaboración con la Sala Cruce presenta el 12 de febrero a las 20:30 en Madrid, el nuevo trabajo de Erika Saito, una joven artista japonesa que consiguió el premio a la mejor artista emergente en el año 2007 en Kobe.
Evolving Circles:
Dibujos e Instalación de un Organismo Vivo Imaginario Neilson Gallery in collaboration with Sala Cruce of Madrid present the opening on the 12 February at 20:30 in Madrid the new works of Erika Saito a young Japanese Artista awarded emerging artista of the year (2007) in Kobe. Evolving Circles, es un tema sobre el que empecé a trabajar en 2007. Utilizo como base la progresión de círculos, líneas que voy cerrando hasta convertirlas en círculos planos, círculos que crecen y crecen formando cadenas, que se superponen unos a otros, una y otra vez , hasta crear el dibujo. Los círculos toman forma en dos dimensiones expresando lo que normalmente no se ve, cosas invisibles como son mis emociones y mis sentimientos. En la instalación The Evolving Cell he intentado poner en práctica la misma idea en tres dimensiones utilizando el concepto de una célula en evolución. La instalación no está basada en datos científicos, es un camino que tomo de mi imaginación para expresar el misterio de la propagación y el ciclo de la vida.

Evolving Circles is a theme I have been building upon since 2007, and I work with the progression of circles, where I make enclosed lines, a circle, over and over on a flat surface to create a drawing. Circles are what I give shape in two dimensions to confirm what may not be noticed otherwise, moreover, to use the strands of circles to transfer invisible things, such as emotion and feelings I embrace. The installation, The Evolving Cell, I have attempted to practice the same in three dimensions through the concept of an evolving cell. This installation is not based on scientific or medical facts, but what I freely imagine in my own ways to express the mystery of the cycle or the propagation of life.
